Holiday!

Well we had a wonderful time!


The babies had a wonderful time, Charlie went 'paddling' for the first time, hes not allowed to swim unfortunatly cos of his tubes but he seemed to like paddling in the sea. heather being heather waded right in in there...fully dressed!!!! (good job Lauren had a spare set of clothes for her lol)

Charlie, Aly, Chris & Dad drove up to Bristol on Wednesday for his Dialysis & it went well, you would never have known on tuesday that he was going 2 extra days for his Dailysis, at 11.30 at night on Tuesday he was dancing away in the club, and at 1.30am he was still wide awake n ready to play (lol aly & Chris werent tho!)

The Nurses were lovely, hehe they did tell Aly that they had been warned Charlie was a screamer n he wasnt doing, the nurse commented to Aly.... lol so Aly just looked at her & said "you havent tried to get his blood pressure yet........" lol poor charlie HATES that cuff, you can do anything else to him n hes happy...... get the cuff out n he screams the place down n we have no idea why he hates it SO much.

We took some more pics in the same place as last year, its good seeing how they have both grown in a year, funny thing is, theres a year between them (Charlies 2 August 10th, Heathers 3 August 30th), but sat down they apear to be the same height, their upper bodies are the same, its when they are stood up you can see the difference, Heather must have long legs cos shes taller stood up.

friday we got a nice surprise, someone knocked on the door & gave us an envelope from reception, asking if we wanted to extend our stay until monday (at a VERY small cost)..... we couldnt stay till Monday cos Chris & I had work, plus Charlie had Hospital on Sunday so we decided to see if Mum, Dad & I could stay saturday night & check out Sunday instead, which was ok, so we extended the holiday by 1 day (which was good cos Gareth, Lauren n Heather were already staying until Monday cos they hadnt been able to get there till after us)

lol, ok now the not so good bit......................

Mum Dad n I set off home on Sunday morning....... tootling along the motorway quite happily..... n the some ***** pulled out on Dad, n Dad swerved to miss him........ hit the central reservation and scraped all along the drivers side of the cat, luckily he hit it 'straight on' or it would have been a hell of a lot worse......... there was an almighty bang, and smoke in the car, instinct or adrenilin or something must have taken over cos I turned round in my seat to see what was behind us & yelled at dad that the lanes behind us were clear & to head across to the hard shoulder - dunno what that is called anywhere else but its the emergency lane on a UK motorway (highway/interstate)

When we stopped Dad said to put the 'hazard' lights on while we got out & he checked the car out, and I commented that they must have come on automaticaly cos they were already on, n Mum just looked at me n said I had turned them on when I turned around, i didnt even remember doing it!

Anyway, the car wasnt too bad, we were all ok so that was all thast mattered, we went back to the car to carry on, n it wouldnt start, which was when we realised that the drivers seat airbag had inflated and the car had immobilised itself cos of it (the vurning smell was the detonator going off).... so we ended up calling the rescue service & being brought home on the back of an AA rescue truck................ let me tell you for nothing........... 4 hours in the back of one of those, with no radio & nothing to do is seriously BORING! lol.

lol, ok, I have rambled more than enough for now lol. I will post some photos as soon as i can, possibly tonight.
