February 14th - Valentines Day

hmmmm Valentines day............

Well, I kind of have mixed feelings on valentines day.

I hate the commercialism of it, I used to love it when we were younger, a little box of chocs, and a card, used to be enough.

Today ots like everyone has to be bigger n better than the next person, and omg the cost of things!

At work today a couple of people had flowers delivered, and they were SO ott! Roses with little diamantes in them, heart sticks and huge frondy things sticking out of the. and call me a scrooge but how much must they have cost!

I see things from both sides of the fence as it were, I KNOW that its not the suppliers fault, its the warhouses, last year I did a wedding this time of year, and the price I had to pay for the table flowers from the florist warehouse was disgusting.........and unfortunatly we then had to pass it on to the bride, florists etc get the same thing happen to them, and people think THEY make a huge profit when they dont, its the same at Mothers day & Christmas, warehouse prices hike up n we dont have a choice but to pay it or not supply......

I would much rather have a nice dinner cooked for me, curl up on the sofa with a good movie or a nice long romantic walk than get a dozen red roses ! (lol hint!)

OK, need to go, I got distracted, i;m supposed to be working on candles LOL......... BBL
