Operation update

Well............. I Finally had my operation!

I went in hospital on Thursday (14th) and had the operation on Friday (15th).

I was first on the list for the surgeon for the day so I was up in the pre-op room by 8am!
Luckily they managed to remove the Gall bladder via Keyhole surgery not the full surgery – but I now have 2 small incisions, and 2 large incisions, plus a drain hole – all with staples holding them together – and it all looks horrible!

Mum & I counted the outer day & we think there are between 30 & 40 staples in them all – I am SO not loking forward to them being taken out

Right now ALL I want to do is sleep, I seem to spend half my day asleep – lol, and half the night trying to get comfortable – I usualy sleep on my front, which obviously I cant do, so I have ended up piling all my pillows up against the wall in an 'L' shape, and sleeping propped up, lol good job I have a lot of pillows!

One good side to this is that I weighed myself the day before the operation, and again after, and I have lost 13lbs
LOL I wouldnt recommend this as a Diet tho, right now my stomachs reacting to having part of its system removed by objecting to anything I eat thats not Toast or Soup! But I am consoling myself with the fact that I only had the operation a week ago, and it is still early days yet.

Well, its 2.30 am(Again) and I should try & go to sleep, even tho I am not at work the alarm will be going off at 8am to remind me to take my tablets - LOL I now rattle as I take 8 different tablets to take each day at the moment, and all at different times, I have my phone programmed to tell me which to take & when!.
