Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I got my laptop back and so far it seems to be behaving itself!



Keep your fingers crossed it carries on that way!

It seems forever since I was able to use it!

Theres a story behind this laptop lol.........

I bought it 2 years ago in Florida in the 'Black Friday" sales.
I didnt actually go out to buy a laptop for ME, I saw one in the sale booklet for my Mum, she has always wanted her own computer, but despite having ummmm at least 6 computers in the house at any one time (Dad builds desktops lol) theres never been any particular computer for Mum to use & call her own....... so when I saw one in the Blackfriday sales leaflet that was a good one, a Toshiba, one, with a european adapter included and $250 I thought it was a brilliant bargain!
My friends were going to get the kids a computer so I decided to tag along......... hehe we sent the men to do the hard work, the early queuing so we had a good position, n then at about 3am we grabbed some hot food n coffees n went to join then ......... yeah 3am in November in Florida is COLD despite what everyone thinks! ........
Anyways we were queuing up n Chris pointed out a laptop that he thought might be better for Mum if we couldnt get the one I was looking at.......
LOL I was always told if you dont ask you dont get.......so when the staff came out at 5am with the order info stuff I decided to be realy cheeky.......... LOL we had gone to the sale at the American arm of the company I work for in the UK.......... hehe so I asked the man I was talking to if i could get any additional staff discount .......... hehe n he said when i got to the checkout to make sure I told them I was staff n to give me more discount! .............. LOL when I worked out the conversion between UK pounds & us Dollars I decided I would get BOTH laptops and we could keep my old one as a spare (its about 5 years old n very tired lol) n i knew if it died on me i would be stuck n I couldnt buy a new one in the UK for what i would pay for 2 in the sale.

I got to the checkout (eventualy) with my little bit of paper to claim my laptop.......and the girl said they had all gone, so i wasnt happy, I had a Reserved one so there should have been one there waiting for me, so she called over the man I had been talking to outside n explained my reserved one wasnt there, so he went off n came back with a different one n said if I wantred it i could have it at the same price as the one I should have had, plus with an additional staff discount........ I didnt recognose the make, so I asked Chris, n he whispered in my ear to grab it fast cos its a much better model than the other one so I did..........

LOL when I got back to Debi n Chris's n we looked at it he was totaly amazed, he said its a top of the range one, CD/DVD read/write, more usb ports than I can possibly need, wireless, card readers, n it FLIES lol, my old one used to crawl.

LOLOL I flew home a nervous wreck, I had my new laptop and my old one in my Laptop case, and Mums new one packed in the middle of my suitcase, I was scared silly they would think it was a 'suspicious' package n blow my case up or something! HEHE having TWO laptops in my carry on took some explaining at the security checks , I had to tell them my old one had broken n I had to buy the other as an 'emergency' purchase............ LOL My family still cant believe i managed to fly home with THREE laptops n no one stopped me at customs - hehe i just tell them i have an innocent face!

I have to say tho, all the lack of sleep that night was worth it to see the look on Mums face on Christmas morning when she opened the box & it finaly dawned on her that she was holding a laptop n it was hers! ...... it was one of the best moments of my life watching her face as she realised WHAT she was opening :D
